Finding a trip at an affordable price point for you and your students sometimes means requesting multiple trip proposals and spending time comparing and contrasting them to make the best possible choice for your program. So with multiple factors like quad occupancy, meals, motorcoach, and multiple deposits to juggle, how do you ensure you’re making the right choice?
To help you accurately assess your travel bids, we've outlined just a few questions you should be asking to get the best (and most hassle-free) group travel experience possible.
Will you penalize us for having an odd number of students?
Not every room block will fit into a perfect four. Make sure your travel provider will not charge more for a room that only has three students. Our best room block guarantee allows up to three rooms of three for both male and female students at the lower quad occupancy rate.
What are the payment and cancellation terms? Are all funds non-refundable at payment due date?
Make sure payment and cancellation terms are up front and in writing. We put a custom schedule in place for your group and figure comps on your behalf so there is no confusion.
Is the motorcoach pricing included? How are participant numbers affected? What about extra fees?
When it comes to motoroach pricing, there are different variables that can affect the accuracy of your quote. Check with your provider to see if things like gratuity, taxes and tolls be included, as well as driver lodging. When you get a Director's Choice quote, we've done this for you, providing a range of participant numbers within the current price per person.
What kind of general and professional liability insurance do you have? Is it enough to cover me and my students?
Safety and security are crucial components of student travel. You'll want to know that you, your program and your district are safeguarded should a situation arise. Our Travel Safe Certification program is just one of the ways we ensure you are in the best hands possible.
How much is the airfare in my package? How was it estimated? Will my price increase when real airfare is available for purchase?
Air travel for a large group can be a daunting both logistically and financially. The right travel provider can help navigate this process with you. At Director's Choice, we base our airfare on average prices from the same time period last year, itemized for your review. Once airlines open your travel dates, we can quote prices and provide you the best options before purchase.
What meals are included? If some meals aren’t included, how much extra money will my students need?
One of the most fantastic ways to experience a destination is through food. We can include all meals in itinerary and quotes so you know your students have time and money to eat. We are particular about meal options and only work with student-friendly suppliers who have the staff and space to accommodate your group.
Whether you travel with Director's Choice or not, we want to help you make the best choice for your next trip. #itsjustwhatwedo
